This is a TWO-DAY training event. Select this option if you are applying for your guard card for the first time. This is the initial 12-hour training required by the State of Maryland when first applying for your guard card. If you are renewing your Guard Card and have not taken this training, it is required that this course be taken FIRST before the State's 8-hour In-Service training. You will submit your application to MSP in class.

Select this option if you are renewing your guard card ONLY if you have previously taken the required 12-hour training required by the State of Maryland. Because of the State's mandated training beginning 1 January 2025, no applicant should qualify for this training prior to 2028.

Use this option if you plan to attend both the initial Security Guard class and the Private Detective classes. Please note, if you select this option, and later decide not to attend the second session you will only be entitled to a $150 refund. This option is available ONLY to MPSLP contractors.
